Reason why Italy suffered most
- coincidentally the SARS COV 2 targets the person below the age of 15 and above 65 it simply shows that if a nation with upper age demographic dividend (i.e. more than 60 ) will be the most affected one and unfortunately the average age of Italy is currently 45.5 years definetly not a good one for the current scenario. although Japan is an exception bcz of its rapid action.
- non-sufficient medical healthcare infrastructure.
- low level of political will. as the miss assuming the pend-mic.
- lack of resource utilisation and proper guidlines.
Lessons for India.
- construction of rapid action task force to combat the pend-mic.
- implementation of social distancing in most appropriate manner.
- avoid panic situations.
- with the one of the most populated country in the world ,it must secure more then enough medical infrastructure and facilities.
The concept of hedge immunity used by united kingdom.
The British government's strategy to deal with the coronavirus outbreak is for 60% of the UK to become infected in order to develop "herd immunity" against the disease.
The underlying idea behind a vaccination
- is that exposure to a virus will trigger the immune system to generate antibodies that will shield that person from that virus in the future. in contrast if we do not have vaccine for a virus then hedge comes into picture which says the body will automatically develop immunity against any disease let it spread.
- even the chief medical adviser suggest the even a complete lock down of 4 months can not curtail any pend mic. it is just like pressing something hard it will create pressure and when it will be released back then its spread starts again.
